The Nursery 1 class was initially hooked on the concept birds at the beginning of Term Trees. The students learned about local birds such as Maya, Pigeons, and Parrots. Their engaging class activities paved the way in discovering more about the kinds of birds found in different corners of the world. Luckily, T. Raye owned a pet bird, a pigeon which she gladly shared with the class and later on became the class pet. The Nursery 1 students nurtured the pigeon with their gentle hearts and hands. To tap on their curiosity on birds, the class conducted a fieldwork at Bio Research, SM North EDSA branch. The staff accommodated the class by sharing new informative ideas and allowing each of them to experience holding the different birds in the shop. To end their fun fieldwork, the Nursery 1 class purchased “Zebra Finches” to serve as their new class pets. With the students funny antics and creative minds, they bestowed their pets with the names “Uncle” and “Nyenye”.
