october-news1 Nursery students learned some facts about grapes. They learned that grape appears in the top ten of the world’s favourite fruits. Aside from purple grapes, we also have green, blue, red, white, black and golden grapes. After discussing these fun facts to the kids, they made their own image of grapes by pasting the colored papers cut into circles and followed the Letter G temple.

To make our discussion more informative, teachers invited Mr. Wilson, a florist to do a demonstration in arranging flowers. He showed how to do Ikebana, a Japanese art of arranging flowers. He also discussed about the meaning of the three flowers which is representing the three dimensions – man, heaven and earth. The kids experienced to put the leaves and the flowers on the floral sponge.

october-news3We also talked about interesting facts about pumpkins like as  food, pumpkin can be baked, roasted, steamed or boiled. Aside from making it as a food, we can also use pumpkin as a decoration. In preparation for the Halloween Party, nursery made their own jack o’ lanterns. All of them enjoyed putting the eyes, nose and mouth of their jack o’ lanterns and proudly showed it to their teacher with a big smile on their faces.
