July is known as the Disaster Prevention Awareness Month; just to make sure, the kids of Cambridge Binondo held their annual Fire and Earthquake drill just before June ends. Volunteers from Fil-Chi Recto Volunteer Fire Brigade explained to the kids the importance of knowing the right things to do should an earthquake or fire occur. Some of the kids panicked as we proceeded with the simulation but as time passes by, they were able to overcome their fears and cooperated ​with their teachers. It was, indeed, a successful and knowledgeable event and we are all thankful that we learned the right things to do from seasoned and kind-hearted firefighters
