Annual Concert (March 2015) The children had a monumental experience celebrating their year-long journey in Cambridge Hemady. Some were in tears while others just beamed with glee. They performed their very best and the parents had a great time watching their children move and groove to the music! The number of people who watched exceeded expectations. Just like with Hi-5, our first annual concert was a box-office hit!

Chinese New Year (February 2015) Cambridge Hemady started the new year with a “Baaaa!” The children wore their Cheongsam or Changsan to celebrate the year of the sheep. They sang Chinese songs, watched a film about a Chinese warrior, and even had a taste of the ever famous Chinese food, Tikoy. Every corner of the centre was a bright red and every classroom filled with so much energy! Great job welcoming the new year everyone!

Valentine’s Day (February 2015) Show your love in more ways than one! Through art, the children were able to express their love and care for their parents and friends. They enjoyed different craft activities in each classroom that showcase their creativity, imagination, as well as the use of their fine motor skills. The centre was filled with tight hugs, contagious laughter, and a whole lot fun as the children went all over the centre to share their works of “heart” with their school mates!

What best way to celebrate family day than to have a fun-filled carnival with all the Cambridge families, teachers, and staff! It was an exciting day for all as they underwent a series of carnival games, cheering competition, bubble show, jugglers, and face painting. Everyone had a wonderful bonding experience with their families and even met new friends from other Cambridge communities!

The festive season is here again! The students and parents of Cambridge Hemady shared a happy morning celebrating the season of love and giving. Games, gift-giving, delicious snacks, fun, and laughter filled the entire centre. The parents were very participative during the games while the students gave their best in their simple Christmas carols. Everyone welcomed our esteemed guest, Bro. Joe Dean Sola, founder of He Cares Foundation where the “12 days of Christmas” donations were given. It was indeed a day of celebration, love, and generosity. Happy Holidays from all of us at Cambridge Hemady!

It was a treat to witness the children’s knowledge about the topic “Seeds” broaden to more specific concepts about nature such as growth, parts and its functions, types, products, and the like. Together with the Mariposa Centre, the Hemady students and parents enjoyed a meaningful and fun Tree-Planting activity. In relation to Quezon City government’s aim to plant 100M, the students of Hemady added eighteen (18) seedlings that are expected to give shade and fresher air to the People’s Park in C.P. Garcia. Cheers to a greener planet and better Earth for all!

From the whole cast of Disney Pixar’s “Frozen” to the most popular superheroes of their generation, the children of Cambridge Hemady enjoyed dressing up in their costumes to celebrate Halloween. They had a fun morning full of singing, dancing, playing games, film-showing, and of course trick-or-treating around the building. The parents were very enthusiastic to come in costume and enjoy the event with the children. It was definitely a fun treat for all!

The teachers of Cambridge Hemady celebrated the “World Teachers’ Day” with the first teachers of the children, their moms and dads. During the week, the parents helped the children create an artwork related to the lesson on seeds and growing. All the masterpieces were showcased at the end of the week in an exhibit. The children were very proud to show their parents their finished products. Thank you parents and teachers for your unwavering dedication and passion to educate the younger generation!!

In celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival in the Chinese calendar, the children of Cambridge Hemady came to school wearing their red outfits, eagerness, and happy smiles. During the day, the children heard the “Legend of the Moon Festival”, had a slice of the traditional Moon Cake, and played a simplified version of the dice game. It was truly a festive day for all the children and staff of Cambridge Hemady!

A special treat was prepared to the hardworking and dedicated providers of the family and every child’s superhero, the fathers. The children were very grateful that despite their very busy schedule the fathers were able to join in on the exciting and fun activities. They also learned how to manage their physical fitness during the dance activity with a physical instructor. Happy Father’s Day to our everyday superheroes!

The Parents’ Orientation is Cambridge’s way of welcoming new and old parents, as well as welcoming a new school year. The parents are given the opportunity to get to know the faculty and staff, and understand Cambridge better. This is also a great way to emphasize the partnership between Cambridge and the parents in making every experience of their children a meaningful one.

What better way to celebrate motherhood than to have a day of recreation and creation with our lovingly gentle mothers. The teachers of Hemady prepared fun and relaxing activities for the mothers to share with their children. We dedicate this special day to all the mothers who give their children the gift of unconditional love, care, and support. Happy Mother’s Day to all the lovely mothers!

“Bless our home and all those who enter as we gather around this area for fellowship, good conversation, good times, and lasting memories.” It was a solemn celebration for all centre heads and CCLDI officers as they joined in the blessing of the newest centre: Hemady. During the ceremony, everyone came together to pray for prosperity, happiness, comfort, health, and security for future clients, students, teachers, and staff of the centre.
