Last Christmas, Cambridge Shaw traveled all the way to Neverland and everyone had a role to play. The Toddler students wore different animal costumes. The Nursery 1 boys wore Peter Pan costumes, while the girls were like Tiger Lily. The Nursery 2 preschoolers were in pajamas playing the part of the London children. And the Kinder class wore pirates costume. It was a day full of fun with their family and friends.

It was such a fun Friday Free Day for our kids as they prepared their own play dough. They loved how they were able to mix and play with the colors as well. It was such a delight seeing our kids unleash their creativity as the molded they dough into different shapes, decorating the activity sheet the teachers prepared. Our kids sure love to get their hands dirty!

The term topic seeds exposed the kids to the different types of seeds. They sorted, counted, tasted and even turned the seeds into crafts. They also learned how seeds turn into plants, what plants need to grow and the different parts of the plant. They were most excited taking care of their own plants. As the term ends, the kids developed a particular interest in learning about fruits and vegetables. As they say, it’s never too early to start eating healthy!

Christmas is the season of sharing and it has been Cambridge Shaw's tradition to give back to our community especially during the holiday season. This year, we have partnered with Jubilee Learning Center, a social development project of Assumption College that aims to provide quality education to the young kids of the less privileged members of our community. Our students and their families prepared some school supplies to share with the children of Jubilee. We got our students to be more involved as they each personally decorated and packed the school supplies kits. It was such a good experience for the children as they learned the value of sharing.

Everyone in school has been busy preparing for our much-awaited Christmas Party. The Nursery kids were no exception as they prepared crafts and decorations for their classrooms and for the party. They even helped decorate and pack the school supplies kit they will be sharing to the students of Jubilee Learning Center.

A healthy fun-filled culminating activity for the Toddler class! The kids set the table and served yummy veggies and fruits from our salad bar to their parents and guardians! We ended the day by creating a fruit and vegetable basket using paper plate, paint and cutouts of what was served in the salad bar. Our cutie Toddlers became little chefs for a day!

For their culminating activity, the Kinder kids showcased their knack for both singing and dancing! After performing, each child also made his/her own caterpillar to serve as a remembrance of the wonderful performance they gave. We all applaud the kids as this day was nothing short of amazing!

The Nursery 2 classroom was transformed into an indoor camping site for their culminating activity. The kids were very excited as they gathered around the campfire, roasting their marshmallows while discussing about the things they learned for the term. To end the day on a sweet note, the kids together with their parents/guardian prepared their own edible version of a flower in a pot made from ice cream, cake and cookie! What an adventure-filled day!

For their culminating activity, the Nursery 1 kids prepared a sumptuous meal for their parents and guardians. They made salad, soup, potato wedges and infused water. It was indeed one hearty and healthy feast!

Our Kinder kids were very excited as our visitors from the Butterfly Sanctuary, Manila Zoo brought out their butterfly kits. Some got a little scared at first but being such little adventurers, they were finally brave enough to touch and feel the caterpillar! It was definitely an experience for the children to see up close the life cycle of a butterfly.

The Kinder class was visited by some buzzing creatures as we delved more into our topic on garden insects! The children got to see real life bees; learned some interesting facts about them, and saw some products made from honey and beeswax! Milea Bee Farm was kind enough to share their knowledge and even gave out some tasty treats!

Our Nursery 1 and 2 kids sure loves to cook! With the help of their teachers they prepared their own snack for the day. Everyone was so keen pouring and mixing the ingredients together! Our little chefs in the making!

A Marvel-ous Halloween at Cambridge Shaw! The school was transformed into a superhero town, complete with a villain’s lair! The children came to school dressed up as superheroes all ready for our annual Trick-or-Treat activity. A big thanks to the parents, guardians, relatives and our co-tenants at Mandala Park (formerly Liberty Center) for their generosity and support! They have made our Halloween celebration extra memorable and fun!

After trying to prepare their own fruit smoothie in class, our Nursery 1 and 2 class had a trip to Jamba Juice in Megamall. They were given a tour of the store, as the staff and crew explained how they make their juices and smoothies. Our Nursery kids were just adorable wearing their apron as they prepare their own smoothie right in front of the counter! It was truly a fun experience not just for the kids but for the parents, guardians and teachers who accompanied them as well.

To prepare the Nursery kids for their upcoming trip to Jamba Juice, they went to a nearby supermarket and experienced selecting and buying their own fruits. They will also prepare the fruits and make their own fruit smoothie.

It’s market day for our Toddler kids! They excitedly pushed their grocery carts and selected their assigned fruits. The kids most especially enjoyed falling in line by the counter and paying for their fruits. It was such an enjoyable experience!

After going to the market to buy some fruits, our Nursery 1 and 2 kids were ready to prepare their own smoothie. Using the fruits that they brought, they got to select what fruit smoothie they wanted. They helped slice the fruits and pour in the milk. Afterwards, they had a blast trying out the different yummy smoothies!

Thank you to everyone who joined us in our Open House last October 17. We hope to see you all again soon.

As the Kinder kids discover the living things interacting with plants, they went on a bug hunt at a mini garden nearby. They identified plant parts and looked for animals or creatures in the garden such as ants, butterflies, birds, etc. It was such an adventure!

Our little garden explorers visited a nearby garden to learn where plants grow. Rain or shine, our Nursery 1 kids were raring to go. They eagerly searched and gathered things commonly found in a garden like leaves, soil, stones, etc. They got back to class excited to share with their classmates what they found.

What to do when there's fire? The Cambridge Shaw kids sure know what to do. Upon hearing the siren, they quickly formed in line and went to their designated exit doors, where their parents and guardians are waiting for them. Calmly and attentively, they proceeded to the meet-up place, enduring the warm weather. They were all excited to see the firemen and fire truck geared up and ready for action. After a few photo-ops, they returned to class tired and sweaty but with big smiles on their faces. The fire drill was indeed a success!
