Earlier this year, Cambridge Philippines hosted a teacher’s training event where over forty (40) preschool teachers participated in a training and refresher program under the aegis of Cambridge’s Training team.
The event ran from the end of May to the first week of June. We stressed Cambridge’s Philosophy, Vision, and Mission. Also, how to better adapt our progressive project-based curriculum in order to implement personalized and fun classroom routines.
The heart of the training was covering the rationale and implementation of Cambridge’s Project-Based Ecological Model (PBEM) Curriculum—an innovative, progressive and experiential approach to preschool education. The curriculum is child-focused and teacher-framed. Teachers exchanged ideas on what has worked in their class rooms and our trainers passed on the latest educational techniques developed in Singapore. Our teachers also received updates on the use of Montessori materials for Language, Mathematics, Sensorial, and Self-Help skills.
Cambridge advocates continuous learning; to love the journey of discovery and to always be curious. We practice what we preach. Our regular training events ensure that the preschool students are benefiting from the latest research in international early childhood care.
